I heard someone say "well I respect peoples religious beliefs" even if I don't agree.
I don't and I think it's ridiculous to respect any buffoonery. Why is religion exempt?

Apparently she cannot be simply fired since it is an elected position and can only be impeached which is a tall order. So a contempt of court and a forced resignation is in her future as she attains martyrdom.
She is going to get loads of money from supporters and sympathizers so not too shabby for her religiosity. Her preacher is probably also her business manager.

Better the money goes there rather than into something that really matters, like programs aiding abused and neglected children, right?
Another reason to loathe Jesus weasels and their supporters.

Hopefully tomorrow the judge will find Davis in contempt and let her stew in her own juice in jail until she decides to either:
1. Follow the law.
2. Resign. The preferred option to having a bitter religious bigot remain In office.

But it'll probably be "follow" the law. Her Indiegogo page has been shut down with a total of $2.00 in donations, probably from people who would rather have donated a penny to make their point.

No jail as yet--too much downside of 'martydom' for being so harsh as to jail her 'for her beliefs.' And there's a risk of escalation, civil or uncivil disobdience. Try fines.

Quote:
The Kentucky county clerk facing potentially stiff penalties for refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses has been married four times, raising questions of hypocrisy and selective application of the Bible to her life.
The marriages are documented in court records obtained by U.S. News, which show that Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis divorced three times, first in 1994, then 2006 and again in 2008.
She gave birth to twins five months after divorcing her first husband. They were fathered by her third husband but adopted by her second.

Quote:
The leader of the organization providing her legal representation, Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel, says he’s not sure precisely how many husbands Davis has had, but that it's not relevant.
“I know she was married more than once – I’ve heard three [times],” he says. “It’s a matter of fact that she’s been married multiple times.”
Staver says “it’s not really relevant, it’s something that happened in her past” and that her conversion to Christianity about four years ago wiped her slate clean. “It’s something that’s not relevant to the issue at hand,” he says. “She was 180 degrees changed.”

Seems like this gal missed one of the major tenets of the faith, 'Judge not lest ye be judged'.
I guess we'll see how she likes it when a real judge hears her story tomorrow.
