The Western World suffers from cancer. The name of the cancer is ISIS. The attacks are the malignant tumors. There is no curative treatment against this disease.

The damage that these attacks do will be minor compared to the damage we do to ourselves by over-reacting. And that's just what these jihadists are counting on.

9-11 being a prime example.

I really do not know what an appropriate reasonable reaction on this could be. But I know that Paris is suffering now from a sort of 9-11 neurosis, even when 9-11 with some 3000 victims and it's overwhelming cruelty remains unique.

I don't know either but here are some numbers I pulled from the internet. Iraq causalities of war since 2003 invasion is 224,000. And Iraq was not even the culprit. But violence always begets violence and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

So I expect some heavy bombing by the allies and possibly Russia on ISIS as an immediate aftermath.

I heard about that in the German tv news - it is so disgusting that the Republicans are trying now to use the attacks for their malicious political purposes. It makes me almost puke.
