Perhaps he knows what is actually in the Halliburton witches brew that is pumped into the ground to fracture the shale and he's worried about his thoroughbred horses?
I can see the next headline, Exxon Mobil joins PETA.

Yep, I think he knows that living on top of those chemicals and solvents will cause his family to develop cancer in 20 years.

There are several fracking wells within a few miles of this dudes house but when the local water district puts up a 150 ft. tank near his mansion it trips his trigger. Fargin' NIMBY basshole.

Master of the Universe

what do you expect? A sense of civic duty? Heck an effort to show that he too can live next to a water well for fracking?

This guy has more in common with his fellow plutocratic counterparts in China than the citizens of this country who are unfortunate enough to live next to one of his fracking shale sites.

He cannot even go through the motions of sharing the load by living next to a water tower...a small one at that.

My whole life the United States sort of dreams about becoming independent from Middle East oil and then all of a sudden we can produce but do we sell it to Americans at a cheaper price? NO...it is sold on the world market for whatever the new demand of developing nations can pay.

And it looks like the none of the companies care about the environment or the effect it has on people that live next to the shale sites.

Am I on drugs but was OPEC that bad after all? I think in the short run we may get cheaper gasoline (somewhat) but in the long run fracking may keep us from getting to green as fast as we should.

It's the secrecy in the Halliburton rule that pegs my bullshit meter. If the chemical cocktail they use for fracking was so benign? Why the secrecy?

I smell a f*$king rat. See 'Gasland' and 'Gasland II'.
