Republican Michigan lawmaker loses staff and committee assignment after online racist post

Quote:
A Republican lawmaker in Michigan lost his committee assignment and staff Monday, days after posting an image of a racist ideology on social media.

House Speaker Joe Tate, a Democrat who is Black, said he will not allow the House to be a forum for “racist, hateful and bigoted speech.”

State Rep. Josh Schriver, who is white, shared a post on X — formerly known as Twitter — that showed a map of the world with Black figures greatly outnumbering white figures, along with the phrase, “The great replacement!”

The conspiracy theory says there’s a plot to diminish the influence of white people.
The fear mongering continues.

I thought it was the Brown figures that would be outnumbering White figures? Goes to show you how much I know

"I believe in God, but I detest theocracy. For every Government consists of mere men and is, strictly viewed, a makeshift; if it adds to its commands "Thus saith the Lord," it lies, and lies dangerously." - C.S. Lewis

Lewis would have detested "Christian" Nationalists, that is, today's Repubes.

RFK Jr apologises to family over Super Bowl ad

But.............the 30 second ad cost his PAC $7 million and a $15 million donation to this PAC was made by a Trump donor, Tim Mellon.

That's the beauty of Citizens United which has actually nothing to do with average citizens because, an average citizen cannot shell out $15 million to a PAC who (wink wink) is not even supporting his/her guy.

But the PACman (that is all he is, a designated dummy named Kennedy) did tell us all that he is a Kennedy from The Kennedy clan 15 times in 30 seconds.

To Robert Kennedy Jr: Don't run! You and I both know the only effect would be to suck up Biden votes, maybe just enough to get Trump in. That's why you got the bloody $15,000,000. Don't run! That's the concrete action you should take. Your apology is just words that do not mean shit.

Lara Trump's takeover of the RNC turns the GOP into a second Trump Organization

"Personal slush fund"

I wonder what the rest of the party thinks about this? I wonder if any of them has the stones to speak out against King Donald's plan?

As we can all attest, Trump is a brilliant businessman when it comes to grift.
So now he has the Trump campaign, his various PAC's and the RNC all under one umbrella. He will also ensure that all campaign expenditures will go into Trump's coffers. The rest of the party as usual will stay mum and with Trump controlling the RNC money, they will all line up to buy a MAGA hat and kiss his butt.

Mayorkas impeachment headed toward Senate graveyard
https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/...ate-graveyard/

Quote:
The impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is likely to die a quick death in the Senate after the House succeeded in its second attempt to rebuke the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief Tuesday night.

Faced with a potential third impeachment trial in five years, the Senate is likely to avoid the matter entirely. Senators expect Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to move to either dismiss the two articles against Mayorkas or to refer them to the committee level, effectively killing the process.

The Senate returns to work on Feb. 26 and will immediately be faced with having to fund part of the government by the end of that week. Schumer is likely to focus on that issue and not Mayorkas.

“Whether they move quickly to dismiss or bury in committee, I’m not sure. I see no need for the Senate at this point and time, given the fact that we need to, among other things, fund the government, spend any time on this — and there will be plenty of Republicans who agree,” said Jim Manley, a former top aide to former Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid (Nev.).

A boatload of valuable time and taxpayer money on nothing. Lump's media minions hardly ever mention Hunter Biden these days. Must be a murderous migrant caravan approaching the border or something.
