Look at it this way; People wax nostalgic about prices being so much lower way back when. Heck, I remember going out to see a movie in the early eighties for $3. It's $9, now. But, I also made $3.50 an hour then. I make almost $30 an hour now. So, realistically: Why should I give a shit? In that example, I'm actually ahead of the game.

It's not the money. It's what the money is spent on. And the more money one has the more opportunity there is to spend it making a mess, climatological or otherwise.
