The Heartland Institute

'Years of Living Dangerously' took a look at this climate change denier group in their latest installment.

Saw the METHANE section last night on Showtime.

Heartland is well funded ;it is becoming more difficult to identify its sponsors.

I love that people think these notions just pop out of nowhere, even referring to them as "commonsense" or "common wisdom". They don't get that it's all just a marketing campaign.

Want to bring wages down?

Convince everyone that it's unpatriotic or unmanly to stand firm for strong wages. "Only lazy ass, whining pussies join unions." When that doesn't work, threaten them with outsourcing and massive layoffs.

Want to kill expensive environmental regulations?

Convince everyone that pollution and climate change are not linked and that the whole thing is "libtard bullshit" or part of some nefarious Communist conspiracy.

The list goes on and on.

Memes that suggest you're stupid if you don't support the hard right agenda.

Memes that suggest you'll burn in hell if you don't support the hard right agenda.

Memes that suggest you're unpatriotic if you don't support the hard right agenda.

Memes that suggest you're a whiney punk if you don't support the hard right agenda.

Memes that suggest you're a Communist if you don't support the hard right agenda.........

It's all a bunch of smoke and fog brainwashing nonsense.

Maybe people just want to live make a decent wage for their work in a fair and equitable, pollution free-as-possible environment? Have unbroken access to medical care when they need it----that doesn't bankrupt them? Maybe retire someday, while they're still young and healthy enough to enjoy it?

Ever think of that?

Dave

Just watched an episode. Good stuff. Well, at least good cinematography. The news was not so good.

It looks like big money has bought out the government regulators re methane.

I remember several years ago calling out the firemen for a particular manhole here in
Brooklyn.

Can do some damage if the manhole blows.

It's even worse than that, the EPA takes the data from the petro industry to write their reports. Starved of funds until they can drown them in a toilet full of Halliburton's fracking fluid.

I see that the nomenclature has been updated. Its no longer called "global warming". Its called "climate change". Very convenient.
