The Right has done a darn swell job of painting the Left into a corner. With issues that should never have a need to be defended or explained.

Universal Healthcare, Environment, Education, Saving Life from Gun violence Equality and Freedom....

As an example of just how bad it has gotten. During the height of WWII with all the suffering, shortages and pricing. Who did they blame for these issues? The actual culprits and pulled together to solve.

Not like it is now, rather the blame is all focused on those trying hard to solve them. Who are doing pretty as good of a job for as complex as they are IMHO.

And the left has stood still whilst being painted into that corner. The Democrats and the Left have let the right do it to them. Stood right there in that corner and let them do it. The Reich-Wing has made the terms liberal and progressive bad words and the left hasn't pushed back like those things are something to be ashamed of. I'm liberal and a progressive because the opposites of those just don't work for me and I'll stand by my positions all day long.

Repub pols on today's news shows claiming to be against abortion (never mind that most Americans want Roe v Wade left as is) for the sake of the unborn children. Fronting like they're doing it for moral reasons. Bull sh*t The day one of these miserable SOB's does something for truly moral reasons I'll grow two more legs and eat hay.

BANGOR, Maine (The Borowitz Report)—In what she described as a “genuinely terrifying” incident, Senator Susan Collins called 911 after receiving a copy of the United States Constitution in the mail.

Collins recalled the feeling of abject fear after opening her mail and recognizing the eighteenth-century document.

“I had never read it before, so it took me a moment to figure out what it was,” she said. “Once I saw that it had been written in an old-timey way, I put two and two together.”

After she called 911, a squad car from the Bangor police arrived and carefully removed the Constitution from the premises.

“I exhaled when I realized that the danger had passed,” Collins said. “But it was a close call.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell blasted the person or persons who mailed the Constitution to Collins.

“I recognize that emotions are running high right now, but there is no excuse for making a United States senator read the Constitution,” he said.
