Glass Steagle and the wiping out of the middle class
Last night on Bill Moyers show he had one of the proponents of tossing the lessons learned from the (not so) Great Depression. The Glass Steagle was the legislation that separated the high risk banks from the mundane banks that enjoyed the protection that the FDIC offered ( the kind of banks us regular folks use for savings and checking accounts) It was an eye opener for me. Anybody see it ?
