Matter of opinion there. IMO...one night stands consisted of other women's men who in many cases enjoyed the revolutionary process that left those women aging, needy and alone.

The onus would be on those husbands with such trifling ways one would think Painter. The argument could be made that they were better off without such in their lives.

Of course this assumes that "liberated" women only ever engage in one night stands. There are such things as durable relationships that simply do not lead to marriage.
