Pretty slimey.

Back right before the election a few 3rd party candidates got tea party mailers sent out for them.

Problem was, they didn't know anything about them and had never plavared with the Tea Party.

It was rumored to be a Dem action to take votes from the main GOP candidates. Well, it was:

"COLUMBUS, Ohio — A mysterious group called the Ohio State Tea Party that popped up in one of the state's top legislative races was funded by a Northeast Ohio law firm headed by a Democratic donor and former legislative candidate, a Federal Election Commission filing shows."

http://www.cleveland.com/open/index....group_got.html

The worst sin in the world? No. Slimey, underhanded, crass? Yes. So instead of eternal damnation from the Prince of Darkness we'll borrow Phil, the Prince of Insufficient Light, to darn him to heck for 15 minutes.

Pete

(thanks Scott Adams)

Lucas Electrics of British car fame, also known as the Prince of Darkness. They also made vacuum cleaners and some wag once put up a picture of one and wrote "Lucas actually made something that does not suck".

Sorry Pete, but I have come to the point where I can't take this shit seriously anymore.

Doesn't the Tea Party claim to be bipartisan/nonpartisan? If so, what's the big deal? They get truckloads of money from Dick Armey.

First, it ain't my party (believe it or not), but I'll cry if I want to.

I just have a hard time getting too excited about shenanigans surrounding the whole Tea Party. They're decentralized, without real leadership, without a platform, etc., and, in my view, just a group that's being manipulated by the GOP (and apparently to a lesser degree by the Dem's). Big whoop.

If things are they way they are laid out in the report, it is pretty slimey.

It says that a regular contributor to the Dems established a front organization with a misleading name to support candidates who would drain votes away from the GOP candidates.

I find it offensive for front organizations to get involved in campaigns in any way.

Regards,

D-Ray
