Gee! Record cold in Oklahoma. What was that, Global Warmists?

Oklahoma activates National Guard as temperatures plunge

Quote:
A massive winter storm is cutting a treacherous and freezing path across much of the U.S. Monday morning.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt activated the National Guard to keep people safe, as temperatures in Oklahoma City are expected to plummet to levels not seen in more than 100 years.

The weather system is moving into the Midwest and Northeast, causing major problems on the roads. Texas is now in a state of emergency after some areas saw their first snowfall in almost six years, and the coldest temperatures in decades.

Oklahoma City saw 12 hours of snowfall Sunday. Freezing temperatures over the last day combined with wind chill make the weather outside feel 20 to 30 degrees below zero, CBS News' Mireya Villarreal reports.

Maintenance crews there are picking up snow and dumping it at the city's arena in an attempt to clear the streets before another front hits.

Gee! Thought the planet was warming and the coasts would be under water. Isn't that what this Rhodes scholar tried to tell us?

You're confusing weather with climate change.

I predicted one of you uneducated WokeLibs would utter such an asinine statement and SON OF A BEECH, you damned sure did.

Go back to school. I figured you dropped out around grade three.

I've already defined weather and climate. And only a drooling moron believes human activity can change the climate.

Jeez! Is EVERYONE here as dumb as a bag of hammers?

Jeez! Are you capable of reasoned discourse without an insult or epithet in literally every sentence of a post?

A principal cause of the massive cold front we've seen across the country is the weakened polar front jet stream that is letting more Arctic air spill south. The jet stream in turn has been weakened by climate change because the warming of polar regions decreases the temperature differential.

We just went through a year where the use of fossil fuels were drastically reduced......

Just thought worth mentioning....

Reduced the further amount of carbon added this year, but did nothing to reduce the amount of CO2 already there, or the effects thereof (warmer artic mentioned above).

Hey, my science was not in Atmospheric studies....

Just saying it might need some looking into.

Reducing CO2 around the world, and the northern latitudes?

I am not an atmospheric scientist either, but what I've heard is that continued warming is programmed in by what is in the atmosphere already, even if everything went to zero emissions tomorrow. Trend will take a long time to taper off, and there are definite worries that it would NOT taper off
