Manafort was the chairman of President Donald Trump's campaign, and he offered to give Deripaska "private briefings" about the campaign in 2016 in what may have been an effort to resolve his debt.

Very good point and have always wondered why a shady character like Manafort was heading Trump campaign. There has to be more to it than meets the eye; speculating of course.

Rosenstein and Wray hammer back at House tea party pinheads in sworn testimony today. No matter how convoluted or just bizarre the accusations from reps like Gomert, Meadows and Gowdy were these guys slapped them down one by one.

Sounds like Manafort was providing inside information on the Republican presidential campaign to the Russians.
