We can get in and out, have power back, and still have the house. A storage bldg with a lifetimes stuff had its roof broken down under a tree. Houses next door have damaged roofs. Others had houses shredded and lives lost. This is our first direct hit after several close calls and near misses.

I've only heard one, never seen. Know it sounds cliché, it was like a train. Sky was weird looking, not raining.

What's seen here is a few weeks of projects. The flower bed needs to be prepped, the raised bed has seedlings to be planted, boards to be reclaimed and the red flower pots need to be readied for tomato plants. Somebody said once I retired I could take it easy The other pic is what it looked like last year after dark.

That's gotta be scary especially when it happens at night. I guess if those trees were at full foliage (to catch more wind) it would have been worse? Glad you came through it.
