Not to mention gas and oil production is up too. Our largest export is distilled petroleum products. Very soon we will be the largest oil producing nation in the world. As Saudi Arabia converts to renewable energy sources.

As for that huge, outdated tub the SS Badger, Either modernize the ship or take it to a breaker for disposal. There is no reason to continue to dump 100,000 pounds of coal ash into the Great Lakes each year. BTW, they promised to start doing something about the coal ash dumping in 1966 well before the EPA even existed. They have done nothing since then except game the system.

Even if the EPA does give them another permit to dump I believe the State of Michigan is fed up with the practice of dumping and will not permit the ship to operate unless it stops dumping coal ash.

It is a lot more complicated than "Obama's EPA", you know the one that is not killing coal mining.
