Potentially, yes. What? Are you going to go on some, "I have a constitutional right to not pay attention as I drive!", campaign?

No, I wouldn't support making driving a motor vehicle a "right". That would be almost as stupid a mistake as making gun ownership a "right" has been.

Pete just goofs around here, he doesn't actually do substantial argument much.
It's too easy. I stop in after a day or so and whatever the problem of the day, it's totally the rights' fault - regardless of what the problem is or who is responsible.

And I'M oversimplifying? What substantial arguments are you talking about?

Pete

In this case, the proposition, I believe, can be stated as 'a person who drives inattentively because they are trying to carefully put makeup on their face a killer, if they hit and kill someone.'

For some motivation that I have to believe was based on cranky disrespect for the other poster, you then said "so everyone who takes their eyes off the road for one second is a killer?"

I suggest shit like that is grounds for cranky disrespect of you, ol' bean.

Complete BS, but at least you're consistent with your incoherent rants about nothing.

Only when it rises to the level of willful negligence, with felony time for death or serious bodily harm resulting. Which I think is more or less what the statutes say.

It's a pretty decent strategy actually...if the object is to be pals with everybody. Not a goal of mine...ya think?
