Leaked memos from Fox.
"In October 2009, as the Democrats introduced a public insurance option, Fox's Washington managing editor, Bill Sammon, issued a memo to staff about how to describe the plan.
"Please use the term 'government-run health insurance,' or, when brevity is a concern, 'government option,' whenever possible," wrote Sammon, who also doubles as a conservative commentator when not overseeing news coverage.
"When it is necessary to use the term 'public option' (which is, after all, firmly ensconced in the nation's lexicon), use the qualifier 'so-called,' as in 'the so-called public option,'" he continued. "Here's another way to phrase it: 'The public option, which is the government-run plan.'"

If that's balanced, I'd prefer tipsy.

I like reading the comments. "...when the Dems don't let the tax breaks go through...".
What tax breaks? The GOP isn't suggesting a tax break for anyone. Just to not allow current levels to expire. And, apparently the President is now on board with them. And even he never suggested letting ALL of the "Bush tax cuts" expire. Chances are the assclown that made this statement was never in danger of seeing his expire.
Amazing isn't it?

They *still* talk about government run health care, just as the Republican attack ads do, even though we didn't get it. Alternately, they'll report on the "government takeover" of health care. So, minimal regulation designed to protect consumers is now "government takeover".
History will speak of all this. The propaganda is amazing and well sold. We have people on this forum who believe that there are Americans paying over 40% in taxes, and no avalanche of facts, figures or examples will dissuade them.

I have yet to see facts showing the total tax burden on US citizens. It's the only way to get apples to apples.
And how many pages long is this light regulation on health care?
Come on people. We need to argue here.

Who wrote the memo to tell every network to use the term "optics" when describing the negative PR impact of Michelle Obama's vacations?
