Sorry Erik but I do not want or value the good opinion of a bunch of savages who would rather grow opium poppies than food. Or people who host bloody savages who took down the twin towers and a piece of the pentagon. Anyone wanting to talks about "innocent civilians" I can probably find the list of over 3000 that died at their hands.

I'm seeing something that I can't quite figure out. The left says things like Mi Li are awful and points out that our troops are not perfect. Then, when a guy goes a mile (looooong firefight) and mows down a number of CHILDREN, it's not his fault.

I'm not saying the guy didn't have problems. But what about the families of the slain?

Pete

I think part of the argument is that this could have been prevented had countervailing pressures not kept this guy on action.

I hate what happened to those families and what might happen in the aftermath.

Executing him when he should not even have been there will not bring them back. If someone bears responsibility it is the army brass that overwrote the psychiatrist's diagnosis and shipped him out. Now of course they have saved the $1.5 million and will let his wife and kids starve.

Pete it is a stupid war and nothing will change whether we leave tomorrow or stay into the next century. Their government is corrupt as hell and the people are not much better. Making a living selling dope hardly falls under the heading of good citizenship.

I understand where Pete is coming from, and at the same time I understand what you mean too. It's screwed up any way we look at it. Sad shame from any angle and personaly, I think I'd have to be on a jury with all the facts layed out, and hear what his doctor has to present before I could choose whether or not to hang him. Hard call this one is.

What is truly frighting is, just how many others have they sent back ?

And how many others have they returned into society with untreated PTSD ?

I'm sure we will all find out in time,

BB

Proclaim the need for "unconditional surrender" without running it by strategic allies?

The reason for the investigation at Ft. Lewis is rising crime among the returnees, rising suicide, broken marriages, the area is getting out of hand. They sent some of the ones that had their diagnoses changed to Walter Reed - new diagnosis PTSD. But boy oh boy the army is saving those $1.5 millions.

Hell in WW II they at least knew what they were fighting for, they may have frozen their butts off but they were trying to free civilized people. The nazis would only shoot you, not dismember the bodies and hang the parts from bridges.
