Blender.

We are an industrial civilization, with big machines and vast quantities of energy at our command. There are endless ways to apply such to instantly destroying a human being.

It's interesting that we have this attraction to thinking up such applications. Basically, we have instincts that sometimes make us want to kill some others, that indeed make us positively enjoy contemplating ways to do it--and make us dislike anyone who stands in the way. Some seem to feel this way more often and more strongly that others, though.

These feelings, of course, conflict with other moral sentiments. Humans are pretty much always conflicted.

I think the punishment should fit the crime.

And not be inversely proportional to ones net worth like it is these days.

There would be a lot more hangings if I were dictator.

Especially in places like Wall Street and Washington DC.

Interestingly we're having this issue because the companies we bought the 'correct' chemicals from in the EU stopped selling them to us.

As gruesome as it seems, I suspect the most reliably humane way is the guillotine.

As far as I know there are people who milk venomous snakes like the oxyuranus microlepitodus and trade with the poison they extract. This poison is totally lethal in even tiniest quantities.

Guillotine is human and also a bit romantic, romantic is also public stoning and in additon to that very sociable.

Joking aside, the only human way is the abolition of that sick death penalty.

I get that 'sociable' there is a joke, but I'm not sure I get the joke. Do you mean that an audience will turn out and have a good time?
