So today Fox told me
So today Fox told me, with great disdain how awful NYC is.
What freakin hate.
Reminded me of myself talking about South Carolina or some such backward state.
anyway, it turns out the happiest people live in Raleigh NC and 4 other places and the most miserable live in NYC and 4 other places. Louisville, Pittsburgh and Detroit among the 4 others.
Detroit OK but Pitt, Louisville and NYC???
I just wish I could afford to live in NYC again.

Typical of Fox efforts to appeal to and aggravate resentment and dislike between groups in America.

Pittsburgh is an awesome city nowadays. In fact, several survey by the Economist and Forbes have listed it as the most livable city in the US for several years in a row. It's a far nicer city than Raleigh.
As for NYC, I'd like to live in Manhattan for a couple of years if I was young, single and had unlimited income. Otherwise, I'd happily defer.

In June - August, Phoenix would win the misery vote going way. Damn it's hot right now.

as is Louisville IMHO.
I did a lot of house shopping in Raleigh this past year as on paper it's a great place. Most colleges grads than any area of the country (the triangle), very very low property taxes, not too expensive real estate...
but in the end, I just don't like it.
Came home and put in a new kitchen.

Been there once ca 8 yes ago visiting a friend and family members, Tucson once in the 70's on a cross country MC trip. I remember going into a cafe w/ AC in Tucson and being almost slapped back inside by the blast of heat when I left. I'd rather live in a more temperate clime than there that is less humid than here.

Yes it is. I am trying to go through the kids shit in the garage and it has no AC. Tried to do it late last night, but it really doesn't help when it is still 100 out at midnight and humidity is hovering at 24%.

Be careful. The dew point will be going up today. If you have blood pressure issues or anything, don't push it X two. Heat exhaustion comes on super fast my friend.

If NYC is so awful then why did they get so upset over 9/11?
