AJ and Current TV?

Al Jazeera completes deal to buy Current TV! http://www.latimes.com/entertainment...,4488243.story

Wanna bet it will get a major portion of FOX's analysis today. Just hope Current TV will not change content to much. But will take a wait and see approach.

Apparently TIME has not waited and dropped Current TV from its cable network.

Al Jazeera is certainly a better source of news than either MSNBC or Fox, and probably CNN. Unless and until one takes the time to read Al Jazeera English online for a while, they're probably unaware that it is a fairly reputable news source.

I heard a discussion a while back on PBS, they said that Al Jazeera looked good, with roundtable discussions, but that they made sure everyone at the table agreed.

Why'd the camera feed in Iraq suddenly fail?

Agreed. It's far smarter and more objective than any US source other than PBS. I have the ability to watch English language services from Britain, Germany France, Russia, Israel, China and Japan as well as al Jazeera. I'd take any of them, possibly excepting China and Israel, over any of our cable news networks.

Objective?

I like France24 the best. Old fashioned, pretty straightforward with commentary obvious, not snuck into the story. Well better than any other European news anyway
