Reckon how many deployments Omar Gonzalez had? Reckon if he was stop-lossed for years beyond his contracted time. The VA system is supposedly overloaded with mental health cases, but not only because of the deluge of PTSD from 3 and 4 and even 5 deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan. But because it continues to be so difficult for Americans to get decent mental health care in the current for-profit, employer based, insurance industry mangled care system, so many vets are in treatment at the VA for non-service related mental health issues, that those with serious PTSD problems can't get the care they require.

It's 40 years past the time this country should have had single payer.

Fortunately there were highly trained professionals from the secret service there, and no shots were fired.

Can you imagine what would have happened if it had been a bunch of knuckle dragging, mouth breathing civilian cops instead?

"The atmosphere is collapsing" is in the same vein as "this aluminum foil hat protects my brain from the doro-rays." (I actually had a client one time who told me that she was a victim of "doro-rays" from outer space. She used the term like I was supposed to understand what it meant.)
