Without the US Civil War:
No US intervention in WWI, and Germany wins. Therefore, no Hitler and no WWII. Treaty of Brest Litovsk stands, and Soviet Russia is never a great power. Further and other speculation possible....

What if King George had granted his propertied American colonialists a PM or two?
There wouldn't have been a Civil War and the Prussians wouldn't even had dreamt of European dominance. The result of these PMs might just be a multicultural English speaking empire that is expanding into the one world democratic culture with single payer health care for all commonwealth citizens.
