Did I sound pissed to you? It should have come across as bemused. Your posts are so in line with the talking points coming out of GOP HQ that I can't help but chuckle.

But no, it is not my life's goal to be a mover and shaker or just an administrator. I am quite satisfied being an advocate for people who are trying to work for a living.

At least Whell is not afraid to say what he believes in, unlike others here.

He, like any other political type, shouldn't develop the policy. As an administrator, I'm OK with him implementing it though..

Part of the problem is the gap between catching it and showing symptons. There's conflicting information here; I've read that people can spread Ebola before they start showing symptoms and I've read the reverse. It seems that the experts don't know what they're dealing with. No dig at them but this bastard thing is spreading faster than they thought it could.

Everyone is confusing administration with execution of actual "on the deckplate" policy. You do not have to be a doctor to coordinate a response to a health care crisis.

Really? Show me one talking point from a GOP spin machine that suggests that YOU should be Ebola czar!

Guys

Whelly is a paid wing nut poster. It's his job to spend the day going from site to site and spread the propaganda.

Nothing against him as a person but I'd ban him. This site is not designed to be a free marketing tool for the GOP.

The whole "Czar" thing is ridiculous anyways.

After all what did Drug Czars Elvis Presley or Michael Jackson ever do about drugs?

Other than kill themselves with drugs, that is?

I think the GOP should hesitate to throw stones over making stupid moves in appointing "Czars". Something about glass houses................

your guys changed the filibuster rules so now you need zero repub votes to get a nominee approved in the senate, but now its coming back to haunt you, since dems would be held accountable for their votes - troubling for dems in swing states in cases like this. Actually, i think under the current rules you could lose up to 4 dem senate votes on a nominee and still get an approval vote, but your guys can't even do that much.

But at least you're clear on one point: A surgeon general nomination should serve a political purpose - to stick it to your political opponents - even in teh face of dealing with an important issue like containing ebola.
bam !!!!!
