At the core of the "Trump Party" is a firm belief that there is an organized bipartisan attempt to replace white folks or at least reduce their importance.
The shenanigans at the southern border over a long period reinforce this perception. Additionally, the creation of the rust belt; due in large part to outsourcing especially to China, demoralized a significant section of such folks who thought they were special in the union of these United States.

The danger to the union is that a lot of these folks are overrepresented in the elite forces.

There is now a call that they should not allow themselves to be used in battles which do not represent their interest.
