A symbolic feel-good offered to the liberal California constituencey, corresponding closely to the motivation for the discriminatory laws. To the extent it does anything, it will tend to be harmful, like the discriminatory laws, but not nearly as bad, of course.

I suspect the state does not approve much travel to these states anyway due to budget restrictions.

As a gov worker in CA, my agency has been restricted from out of state travel for quite some time due to budget.

But, symbolic or not..... it is a good stance to take.

Agreed. I don't want my tax dollars spent in states that practice discrimination.
