They are ballistics and ballistics. Some are more sophisticated. Some have warheads which at some point during flight separate from the body and proceed using their own propulsion.
Basically no ballistic should get through to its target.

I saw one claim that a small number of hypersonics were used, and were effective. Supposedly destroyed Israeli intelligence facility on the Golan Heights. Saw video, but cannot judge it's authenticity. No confirmation that I've seen, just the one report.
