Whaddaya know " robust absolute immunity " is actually a thing.

What is this "presidential immunity," absolute no less?* The words aren't in the Constitution. Why should a president deserve, or need, immunity? Absolute powers like this sound like absolute monarchy, or dictatorship. The claim is a brazen power grab.

I recall reading that Stephen Miller, the neo Nazi in the Trump administration claiming that Trump as president had absolute power. Apparently he had not heard of the judiciary and legislative branches. So this sounds like something from him since he still works for the moron. Here it is:

"Consciousness of guilt" is putting it mildly. Utter lack of respect for the law. Criminality as a matter of course. Bonded together like a gang, united and in a sense trapped by their criminal enterprise and their exposure to prosecution. Dependent on the power of the Big Boss, and thus utterly loyal to him.

The deposition could be a critical moment in the investigation of allegations that the Republican billionaire’s company, the Trump Organization, misled banks and tax authorities about the value of prized assets like golf courses and skyscrapers.

New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office said in May that it was nearing the end of its probe and that investigators have amassed substantial evidence that could support legal action against Trump, his company or both.

Unfortunately, this is just a civil investigation. The new Manhattan AG, Alvin Bragg, bailed on the criminal one to the dismay of the seasoned investigators who had reportedly put together enough info to support an indictment but Bragg got cold feet.
