Do you also find Huckabee's love fest with the fast food joint disgusting as well? And don't tell me he's not a politician.

Huckabee should have let the story die. I do think that Emmanuel's and the Boston mayor's implicit threats are a far greater wrong than what Huckabee did. The holding of office ought require a certain level of decorum and using that office to threaten a business fails to meet that level.
Emmanuel talking of "Chicago Values?" Come on, Chicago has values like murder, mayhem, and corruption. Think of how the left would respond if a conservative mayor made such silly statements regarding a liberal led business.

C'mon BH. Scarface has been dead many a year and it's the 21st century!!
Not that anyone actually believes that Chicagoans and or Mayor Emmanuel hold those values you speak of. Hyperbole aside... sheesh! Bad day?

Punish? How are they be punishing Chick Fil A? You can't seriously believe that they will be denying permits or hindering Chick Fil A's business in any way, do you? I'm sure that won't be happening nor should it. In reference to the President's evolution on the subject, that just proved that even the best of us can be wrong at one time or another. The true gauge of character is whether they can learn from it and act accordingly.
I know that you support the first amendment for business and private citizens but because these are public servants they aren't allowed to voice their opinions ? Why does it disgust you? Chick Fil A has chosen to publically advocate and donate funds to promote a multi class system in this country. Isn't that repugnant to you? It sounds downright unpatriotic and misquided to me. I sure find the preamble to the Constitution fairly definitive and clear about it. Don't you?

Chik fil a makes a killer chicken sandwich, but I can only eat them occassionally.
They are very good to my local community.

Interesting piece on Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A. Found this exerpt particularly interesting:
A report from LGBT advocacy group Equality Matters concluded that Chick-fil-A donated more than $3 million between 2003 and 2009 to Christian groups that oppose homosexuality. In 2010 alone, the company gave nearly $2 million to such causes, according to the report.
Now, for me the question is about motivation. Were the donations made to those groups because they opposed homosexuality or were they made to groups that were basically conservative christian and that happen to oppose homosexualtiy? For me that is a distinction with a difference.
Every corporation of size has a corporate giving philosophy and if Chick-fil-A, a family owned business, chooses to donate to conservative christian groups then so be it. The more important question for me would be does Chick-fil-A discriminate in their hiring and personnel maangement practices?
Just my take.
As for Amazon, interesting that they as a company, came out of the closet, as it were, but I do respect the statement they are making.
