This is the logical conclusion to the assault on the media. Say they're biased enough times and people start to believe they're supposed to be "nice" to everyone. Once they neuter the media (90% there) there is no one to stop them.

I'm sure you realize this but it deserves to be said anyway. It's not simply the logical conclusion but it's the goal of the attacks on the "liberal" media.
