Hmmmm.........Y'all got me thinkin'. Cuz the mains I'm building have an Fs tuned to 46hz. I will need a sub to push it down lower..........

Get a pair of Threes, they'll do 28hz! according to Richard Vandersteen. It's a awe inspiring experience putting a 30hz test tone, vertical biamped GFA555s(one for each speaker) and turning it up to about 30%, pictures jump off the wall, beer bottles start walking across the coffee table and the wife starts screaming earthquake, earthquake! In no uncertain terms, Patty(wife) told me what would happen if I pulled that stunt again. She would sell them for peanuts at the divorce liquidation audio sale....

Indeed I do. Rob worked his magic on the beast after it had gotten a bit long in the tooth. Replacing the big oval PS caps got a bit hairy, but Rob utilized the brute force approach with excellent results. 
It's a thing of beauty IMHO (if you like big knobs  ). It's bigger and more powerful than I need, but my son wouldn't stand for my idea of selling it and replacing it with a modern integrated amp.

As far as I ever made it up the Sansui food chain was a 890 DB, unless you include my 1000A.
I've always had a fondness for Sansui...other than their speakers.

i use a pair of McIntosh 501's for the main system with B&W 803d's.
Been saving for years for the Wilson Sash Watt Puppies but with the state of healthcare in this country they got further away the last few years.

I had a G-9K for awhile, big heavy beast. Through out my back moving it around. A good friend spied it then wanted it real bad, so it moved on.
But do have a G-8K that one of my sons said had better never get sold! More power then I will ever use. One of the best tuners on the planet IMO!
