Fifty-percent true. It still took an establishment President to sign an executive order or piece of progressive legislation to ratify grassroots change. All of our greatest legislation has been signed by professional political hacks.
Trump is indeed an exception. He has to make the leap to the assembly line.
He embraces the establishment or becomes neutered.
The only difference now is that he may keep his position because Americans might not care if nothing gets done.
