It's been decades since I investigated Hitler's motives. Other than as a political lever that for some diobolical reason always seems to work, I can't find a rational reason for his or anyone else's anti semitism on this scale, tho' the misbehavior of individuals and localized groups of any identification will always generate emnity.

You Americans simply adore the Barking Monster...
  Auction house Sanders in Los Angeles sold two signed copies of "Mein Kampf" for 40000 Euros. Last year similar copies had been sold for 64000 Euros. What are these guys doing with that crap? Getting a moist crotch while looking at the signature? They can't read the books even if they understand German because it is written in Fraktur (German type / Gothic type).

Again, a broad-brush disparagement of Americans.
 I could say 'you Germans simply adore negative stereotypes based on religion or nationality,' but that would be a very wrong thing to say. I'm sure the truth is some do, some don't. I'm not sure why there is such magic in 'tokens of celebrity' for some people, but the phenomena is hardly unique to Americans.
