A State Supreme Court Just Issued Another Devastating Rebuke of the SCOTUS

A State Supreme Court Just Issued Another Devastating Rebuke of the U.S. Supreme Court

Quote:
The Hawaii Supreme Court handed down a unanimous opinion on Wednesday declaring that its state constitution grants individuals absolutely no right to keep and bear arms outside the context of military service. Its decision rejected the U.S. Supreme Court’s interpretation of the Second Amendment, refusing to interpolate SCOTUS’ shoddy historical analysis into Hawaii law.
Excellent!

I am following this case with keen interest but the end game escapes me.
This case is now being appealed by the defendant after a stay by a Federal judge, so effectively 'the right to bear arms' is now in the 9th court of appeals, eventually winding up in the Supreme Court. Assuming they uphold their original ruling, what happens then? The state of Hawaii wants to regulate gun ownership and carry laws but it goes against the SCOTUS ruling. Lot of courtroom drama but the ending is pre-ordained?

There are too many arms out there. People will bear arms legally or illegally. Gun legislations pro or con will have little weight at this juncture on society and guns.

Going very far with gun grabbing will just radicalize more people more. Not a productive move. But enforcing the existing laws closely will do some good and isn't so triggering, so to speak.
