Bannon Pulls a Mooch ...
... and dishes to the press, criticizing Trump's Korea strategy and White Nationalists.
Stephen K. Bannon, the White House chief strategist, seemed to take issue with President Trump on North Korea, attacked white supremacists as “clowns” and “losers” and described his efforts against administration rivals in an unusual interview Wednesday with The American Prospect, a progressive magazine.

What a snake pit the Trump White House is.

First I'll say the obvious, politics is a snakepit.
Excellent article. Bannon is one smart and savvy political operative. He's also right about China's intentions.

Is he smart and savvy in his plan to go to economic war with China?

Putting words in my mouth that aren't even implied. Par for the course DQ.
Does being a smart and savvy political operative mean he's also a smart and savvy global economic war strategist/tactician?

WTF. It was a perfectly legitimate question, given that you were basically singing Bannon's praises. But never mind, sorry I forgot how you are and spoke to you.

I wasn't basically singing anything, that's your bias showing. Your praise singing comment clearly demonstrates the accuracy of post 5's first paragraph.
You don't perceive Bannon as a smart and savvy political operative? It's important to acknowledge the abilities of your political enemies if you want to defeat them.

Bannon has the gist of North Korea's abilities correct. Beating them over the head with a stick, then a larger stick, then a war club, because they were trying to build a nuclear arsenal, which they now have, is nonsensical.
Welcome them into the international club of nations. Fighting a limited war on containment that ended over sixty years ago is the absolute height of insanity. Figure out a way to draw down their military readiness(and ours,) and get our focus on China, which is a far greater threat.
How horrible would it be to add 20 atomic bombs to the arsenal of China or Russia? It would not change the global theater one iota. Why have we built NK up to be a giant tiger, when they politically, economically, and militarily are a tiny panda bear that would be pulverized in a matter of months?
Strategically, they are an enemy because it adds benefit to China's regional military goals of having much of our transpacific military tied down to safeguard South Korea, rather than ringing in China. At least Bannon is capable enough to articulate this.
He isn't much in most other areas.

Why is everyone acting like China is a threat? Of course they could easily wipe us out, but why would they? It wouldn't be at all in their best interest and we're doing a fine job of destroying our country on our own.
This country hasn't done anything noteworthy (good) in decades.
