China's Stealth Navy

Interesting article on how China is aggressively trying to increase her control of the sea and its' resources in South East Asia without using the conventional Chinese navy.

We have no one to blame but ourselves. There was an article in the Post about how a Chinese citizen working for L3 Communications stole 1000 pages of documentation on a missile guidance system and gave it to the Chinese government. So he is going to jail, but an American company doing sensitive defense work hires a goddam Chinese national while American citizens are looking for work?

Sadly I was right, this country is f**king insane.

Dumb real dumb.

It looks like the Chinese are preparing to confront West over historical issues...... one of them Taiwan.

Recently Xi went to Russia and concluded a deal for Russian energy. China is making sure that she is not too dependent on sea lanes.

They have a very different view of history than the western world does. They will always want Taiwan back, and now we are sending them the wealth to build the tools to do it.

All bow before the Middle Kingdom.

People like to paint the US as an aggresive empire, they ain't seen nothing yet.

Yup, and the Chinese laugh at the US for funding Chinas return to power, while they sit back and watch America commit economic suicide due to it's avarice at the same time.

On the plus side, the cheap car parts are cheap.

I wouldn't count the US out yet

Sadly, I think it will go down a fair chunk more before it will go back up again. Both sides are still too strongly divided, and a strong political middle has not yet arisen to get things back on track.

The whole health care fiasco shows how bad things are. The US system burdens companies like no other country does. Even with our higher costs, Canada keeps so many manufacturing jobs because our health care system helps level the playing field. But it is still nigh onto impossible to even have a discussion about it in the US without it becoming partisan and ugly.

LOL!

I worry most about our staggering debt. It's so large it beggars the imagination, and it's balloning.

There's glimmers of hope though:
