Funny stuff. Interesting that Rush's defense of getting duped was essentialy the same as the people who allegedly misquoted him. He said the phony thesis sounded like something the President would say, and those who ran the quotes attributed to him said they sounded like something like he would say. Despite sloppy source checking by Rush's crack team, I doubt the president will sue for slander. I don't think he'll mind seeing some egg on Hurry Up and Air It's face.

Ya win some, and ya lose some. But most of the time, ya just lose some.

I'm assuming that Rush came up with a lame excuse as to how he was duped. At least he didn't run with it for another couple of weeks, like one ex teevee anchor I can think of.

Rush stood up like a man does, and admitted the story was wrong, and that it was wrong of him to air it. I wonder how many of those that spread the lies about him have done the same?
