News Flash - Fox Viewers Most Misinformed

A recent study shows that viewers of Fox News were the most misinformed when compared to viewers of other news sources or no news at all:

To wit:

Those who watched Fox News almost daily were significantly more likely than those who never
watched it to falsely believe that:

most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)
most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)
the economy is getting worse (26 points)
most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)
the stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)
their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)
the auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)
when TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)
and that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

The effect was also not simply a function of partisan bias, as people who voted
Democratic and watched Fox News were also more likely to have such misinformation than those
who did not watch it--though by a lesser margin than those who voted Republican.

Either that, or I have fumblefingers.

I found the last two paragraphs of the article to be most telling.

No, I dispute the implied conclusion that Fox viewers are more misinformed by Fox News than are viewers of other networks.

Not to mention this survey was conducted by The University of Maryland...I'm sure they have no political axe to grind.

I was push polled by the University of Missouri to see just how GREEN of a businessman I was. Their conclusion...I'm really quite GREEN.

I felt like telling the stupid sonofabitch I'm GREEN alright...I'm a walking GREEN ALERT!!!

Just ask anyone who really knows me.

But the dumbass got to ask his loaded questions and got the skewed results he wanted, so three cheers for him, huh? Guarantees his Federal Grant for another year.

I think I'll go flush a cigarette butt down the toilet, just for shits and grins. I've also got a brush pile I need to burn, think I'll start it with used motor oil. Might even throw an old tire in it, just so it doesn't go out!!!
