Senior moment for me!

I will admit to doing some bonehead things over the years. Last night did yet another. Left the sprinkler on all night.

Totally forgot I had turned it on when we got home. Got busy testing some new to me speakers and then quickly got to hot in the garage. Had a cold one and went into the AC and got on the computer. Once on AK and here my thoughts of watering soon disappeared.

My wife found it on this morning when getting the paper and had to rib me some. My youngest son even walked by it a couple of times and never noticed it on.

Here is an interesting fact, I called my water company to notify them so that they would not be looking for leaks. They informed me that during the summer months I am billed ONLY for the monthly winter average usage. This being 6000 gallons of water a month. So at least it will not cost me this time!

If it rains soon, you can take credit for it then. I think watering your yard works about as well to bring rain as washing your car.

I can guarantee you that you were not the first to keep the sprinkler running all night.

We have 'water police' in our neighborhood to make sure that sort of thing doesn't happen. If you water on days other than your designated day or water too much or too long it results in a citation.

No restrictions at all here yet. Some of the smaller towns do but not us.

It through me for a loop when she told me there would be no additional charge for now.
