So now every drunk Kavanaugh-esque frat-boy knows he can get away with it...

...and even make the victim pay.

How a Yale Student’s Rape Accusation Exposed Her to a Defamation Lawsuit

Mr. Khan’s criminal trial, months earlier, was markedly different. His lawyer cross-examined the woman in ways that horrified women’s rights advocates: How were you dressed? How much did you drink? Did you send flirty texts?
Fuck this rapist his lawyer, and the horse they rode in on.

The US (lack-of) Justice System has been doing this shit to rape victims since the founding. 63% of sexual assaults are not reported to police. Why? Because the system lets defense shysters get away with questions like, "What were you wearing?" The US legal system has decided that if a woman is showing it off a bit at a party, that the frat-boys can't legally be expected to have any fucking self-control.

And what tells us the most about or competitive/combative legal system is that only 12% of child sexual abuse is reported to the authorities. Any justice that is delivered in this legal system, particularly in the case of rape or child sexual assault, is completely incidental.
