I doubt it. In a couple of years when the public forgets about Zimmerman, the painting won't be worth the paper it's on.

But.... For those who hold Zimmerman as a hero, I suppose there will be sentimental value.... For a while anyway.

I think buying the picture is a bet that Z-Man is going to do and be convicted of a big notorious crime in the future.

Possibly the buyer is making a calculated bet that, the combination of
flag appeal and Zippy's notoriety will lead to substantial appreciation of the
painting.
