Well, first you gotta get some ethernet coax, not the TV stuff. Then you need an old cell phone, an aluminum pie plate, a compass, and some duct tape. Hopefully you have a second story window that faces south....

The Internet infrastructure in the U.S. is pathetic. It’s slow, expensive and run by companies that care more about their bottom line than what their customers actually want. There is one bright spot though – Google Fiber and its record-breaking 1Gbps Internet service. Now a Japanese ISP is aiming to steal some of its thunder.
PCWorld reports that Sony-backed ISP So-net has launched a domestic 2Gbps Internet service in Tokyo and six surrounding prefectures. The download speeds are twice as fast as Google Fiber, whereas the upload speeds are the same 1Gbps.
Surely this super fast Internet must cost an arm and a leg, right? Not at all. So-net is only charging 4,980 yen, or $51, a month on a two-year contact. That’s even cheaper than Google Fiber’s already ridiculously cheap $70 a month just for Internet.

Spring Forward: Ned Beatty, Liev Schreiber.
I like this film. The dialogs between a mature man and his young
hot head co worker are enlightening.
On Showtime.

I've been catching Sidewalk Empire off e-Bay DVDs. Just like politics and politicians, only with prohibition booze as the cash cow and historical Easter eggs galore. Liberal use of mostly period-correct cars with emphasis on the then-ubiquitous black Model 'T' Fords are for me a personally nice touch. Lots of deliciously nasty characters but watch out for the women.

Saw The Grand Budapest Hotel, IMO great story telling on film, uniquely stylish and in it's fanciful way visually psychedelic. Ralph Feinnes as one of the the main characters manages to mash-up Peter O'tool and John Cleese into an engaging hotelier with a remarkable back-story, his lobby boy-in-training is a delightfully subdued scene-stealer as such and the other major character as his eventual equal.

Europa Report.
Sort of understated and not climatic enough...but a good film nonetheless.
Sort of a Cloverdale type where the video presents the story but much more milder...

I seldom watch movies. I just don't enjoy the whole suspension of disbelief thing necessary to watch most flicks.
That said, I saw a movie several weeks ago I really enjoyed. I don't recall the name but it appeared to be based on a comic book and made me feel like I was living in the art deco late 20's, early 30's in NYC, my favorite period.
I highly recommend it.

Hope you get better soon Bob!
I saw Europa Report a while back. Liked some of it but...
Watched 'Saving Mr Banks' the other day. What a good movie. Not what I expected and perhaps there's a little hope left for Disney after all.
