Where's Representative Joe Barton.........
.....when an abusive corporation needs him?
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...401041730.html
Looks like another shocking "shakedown" of an innocent corporation is underway.

I love BPs commercials, that are designed to make it look like they have voluntarily spent "nearly 20 billion dollars on cleanup and recovery efforts".
No mention at all that that figure was negotiated by the Obama administration.
And, I have met people who have bought into the BS lie that they're doing it purely out of "the goodness of their hearts", as well.
Amazing, isn't it, John?
Dave

I think you may have missed the point, Rex...or I did. What I got wasn't that there was a problem with the WSJ article. (Their reporting is actually pretty darned good. It's the editorials that are awful.) I think Dave was wondering why a corporate prostitute like Barton wasn't apologizing to GSK for the "gubmit shake-down".

Yeah, you missed it, John.
Most of the time when a WSJ link is put out it's discredited immediately just for being from the WSJ.
I was just tryin to have some good natured fun with Dave.

Okay, got Dave's, missed yours. Batting 500!
But, like I said, the WSJ has very good reporters. Their editorial column writers are bat shit crazy.

This has been in the works for some time. This isn't some big scoop for the WSJ.
These corporations are now people so real people should go to prison to stop this nonsense. Toss the CEO's ass in jail and see how quick these corporations start following the laws and regulations.
This big pharma corporation probably had to dip into it's petty cash drawer to pay the fine. Back to business as usual tomorrow. The CEO will get a big bonus and everybody will be happy.

The corporate death penalty would be nice.
