They intend to delay and stall and clam up until Donny assumes the office again and starts handing out pardons like party favors.

The tRumplicans achieve control of the senate where they...
appoint Rump Speak of the House and...
immediately impeach Biden and Harris...
paving the way for Dump to assume the office without having to have an election.
The tRump crime family legal troubles soon become moot.

Sound far fetched? Up until 1/5/2021 so did a domestic assault on our capital.

Trump White House records can be released in Jan. 6 probe pending Supreme Court review, appeals court rules

https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md...jan-6-records/

Quote:
A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit unanimously upheld a lower court’s opinion, which said that in a dispute between a current and past president over whether to release White House records, the sitting president must prevail.

In blunt and at times blistering language, Judges Patricia A. Millett, Robert L. Wilkins and Ketanji Brown Jackson denied Trump’s request for a preliminary injunction blocking the National Archives and Records Administration from releasing the first roughly 800 pages of disputed Trump papers after President Biden declined to assert executive privilege as requested by his predecessor, setting up the first of its kind constitutional controversy.
This highly partisan SCOTUS better not give Donny a free pass on this!

"The House on Tuesday voted to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in criminal contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena issued by the bipartisan committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob.

The resolution was approved on a 222-to-208 vote, with just two Republicans — Reps. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) — joining Democrats in voting “yes.”

The matter now goes to the Justice Department, which will decide whether to pursue the contempt referral. Contempt of Congress is a misdemeanor criminal offense that can result in up to one year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000." WP

Lock his chickenshit ass up.

That is what I ask........

"""The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol released a report on Sunday detailing its case to hold Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress. The report paints a damning portrait of the former White House chief of staff’s involvement in the effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election, an effort that included Meadows saying that the National Guard would be at the Capitol on Jan. 6, ready to “protect pro-Trump people.”""

On that note I suspect the Republican National Command will have Meadows take the fall for Diaper Don, or at least try to.
Speaking of contempt of Congress. Yay, MM sited for contempt of Congress and the case referred to the DOJ so now what? The DOJ decides whether or not to pursue criminal charges. What does the DOJ have to consider? Meadows was subpoenaed and stopped cooperating with the investigation. Once the gavel goes down on the issue these traitors ought to be indicted before the echo of the gavel strike leaves the room.
Once the DOJ decides to indict these cases need to be brought to trial quickly. None of this months and months of waiting.
