I've had the same truck since November of 1996.
I've had two brand new cars since then. The payments on the current one are keeping me tighter than a drum. But, I do love driving her...........................

In thirty years of marriage, my wife and I have bought three brand new cars. Never had a car payment over $270. In total, we have bought nine cars, including the two beaters we have bought for the boys. We have taken everything that we owned over 100k, except the Rabbit, which was a mechanical disaster (although it did get amazing gas mileage). Even the three new cars we bought were at the end of the model year. We just haven't been willing to help the car companies pay for their advertising campaigns.
Regards,
D-Ray

I'd love to get a new car! I've never had one, although the Metro was a year old with 10K miles. When I'm broke, I miss that ugly crapbox.
Rob, that's impressive. Go Chevy! What brand is your truck Blue?

Dodge, of course.
I've only owned one POS Ford, and three GM products. My first was a '72 Buick.
Total beater, but that thing got me from San Diego to here without incident. Paid $300 for it.

We picked up the car from the in-laws this weekend. It's a 1994 model with 130k miles. It was a pretty smooth ride back from Oklahoma. We're grateful.

I had a 92' 400SE. The sticker on that was $78,000 in 1992 dollars. I always like the solid feel of Mercedes cars. The ones that are manufactured here are not quite as solid as the German made models. I've been thinking of purchasing an older SL Convertible. I just love the lines before seemingly every car went to the high rear end style. Good luck with ther wife's new car.
