Ok we know Glenn Kessler is severely Bias.

He took a report that was done looking at demographics, socioeconomic status.
(Nothing to do with Party affiliations) Census Bureau stats.

That report was converted further by a writer trying to equate it to parties in the white house.

Then Glenn Kessler produced some bogus graphs and colored them red and blue with no dates, no presidents and not even enough bars to cover the time span. Well they did have enough bars because it was census data, every ten years. Absolutely nothing to do with the office of the presidency and who sits in it.

Don't forget in looking at this chart and your comment about Bush.

Clinton is the one that put NAFTA in place, taxed manufacturing out of this country. And he pushed the policies for the housing bubble. Bush inherited the Dot Com Bubble,Finical Crises, Housing Bubble. He inherited the lacks approach to terrorism by Clinton.

Looking at the graph it's as clear as day and popped out to you. Damn near the moment he took office the economic policies that Clinton put in place fell apart. Actually Dot Com had popped before he took office then the economy fell further after 911. That pushed us into two wars and the Finical Crises, Housing Bubble popped.

So to say those economic policies were Bush's doing is not accurate. Bush got a lot dumped on his plate that was none of his doing.
To be precise I have not said it is wholly his doing. All I have stated is that it happened during his time.

I accept your observation that Clinton sold us to NAFTA despite Ross Perot's
warning.

However you have to admit Bush exacerbated the situation by his huge reduction of taxes to the rich under the mistaken assumption that they would invest this windfall in the US (they did otherwise) and the pursuit of an expensive war without a tax for it.

I think you're letting Shrub off pretty easy here. I don't for a minute believe that he expected anything other than what we got. That was the plan. What he told us was a lie, pure and simple.

I agree there is good and bad in every move the government does with the economy.

Some manufacturing stayed because of the tax brakes, some looked at the profits made operating overseas.

I also know the less taxes I had, I spent into the economy.

All just because we disagree with far different views. And you will then in turn blame Congress and the Senate for not working together.

Me too, I have taken my parting shot and my decoder ring does not seem to help in translating it any more.
