Happy Earth Day!

Fifty-five years ago a bunch of concerned citizens decided that Mother Earth deserved her own holiday. We are still fighting.

We are very good at ruining it. Now they show the Mariana Trench or some pristine Alaskan coastline and there's plastic bottles

In the near future this time period will be seen as one filled with endless possibilities left unfulfilled. We came close then greed, creature comforts and short sighted thinking won out.

We spent the afternoon cutting out evasive plant species on our property. Hitting the native plant sales this weekend.

HCR had an excellent column yesterday detailing the establishment of the EPA and the Trump administration's seemingly successful efforts to dismantle it and turn stewardship of the environment over to DOGE operatives.

This should end well.
