CAP has already exercised considerable influence over the Democratic policy machinery in Washington, and the group’s influence could very well grow, particularly if Clinton is elected president. So more scrutiny of the organization is probably inevitable. But even if it is increasing its own transparency, the broader problem will remain.

I guess they want to develop a relationship with the next President. Nothing new there. It's funny to see Walmart snuggle up to a Democrat though, given their posture on the minimum wage.

Hell no. I've posted here many times before that all of that crap needs to be scrapped and campaign / PAC contributions should be taxable. For these organizations to get the same tax treatment as legit charitable organizations is an abomination IMHO.
