This cracks me up. In one thread in this forum, the forum members advocated having children given access to "gender-affirming care", including access to meds like puberty blockers, without their parent's knowledge. In this thread, doing away with the relatively useless work permit for high school kids is "the work of heartless money-grasping bastards".

Truly fascinating.

FYI, states are all over the place on this issue. Some states have no work permit requirements, some only require them for kids up to age 16, and some require them for certain types of jobs up to and including age 18. None of these state regulations replaced or detracted from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, which already provides strict child labor prohibitions and requirements.
