Really? What people? How many? Break it down for us. Let's see real numbers, not just 'stuff people say.'

Per the Census Bureau, working multiple jobs is nuttin' new, especially for women.

After Repubes killed off good union jobs with pensions and healthcare, people have done what they have to do to survive. I'll bet Social Democratic countries must look really appealing to these folks, yet many of them, stupidly, are MAGAMorons.

Good link!
I noticed also the reduction in full time jobs.

Anyhow I suspect the driving force behind the multiple jobs phenomenon is the issues with transport and shelter.

The inability to build an affordable, reliable car especially. In a country that is so dependent on private transport this is a major economic headache for workers.

You can buy a very reliable new car for the mid $20K.

The fast food restaurants off the interstate by us advertises from time to time up to $20/hr starting plus $500 bonus after six months.

The auto parts place I go to has a hard time keeping people due to them going somewhere else for more money.

One of my sons is now going to the local HS trade schools looking for students to work study. They can't keep electricians they move on once they get a better offer.

It is a strong local, it seems labor market.

Why Do Today’s Cars Last Longer Than They Used To?
https://www.forbes.com/sites/michael...-they-used-to/

Quote:
Ask your grandparents about how long they expect a car to last. It’s a safe bet that they tell you that most cars begin to show severe signs of age at 50,000 miles and are junk at 100,000 miles. While that advice may have been accurate for vehicles in 1973, today’s passenger cars will last more than twice as long as their predecessors did 50 years ago.
I gave my 2005 Honda CRV to my starving-artist sister 7 years ago. It's still going strong. You really need to stop shit-posting.
