Soon, very very soon, China will flood the world with cheap EV's and there goes the power of oil out the window. Oil rich countries are diversifying away from oil centered economy while we still obsess with it. Lucid Motors with heavy Saudi investment are now building their cars in Saudi Arabia!

Ask the Europeans, especially the Germans.
Check the derivatives from fossil.
Chemical industry is hugely dependent on fossil.
Food production?
Both the Dems and Repubs are anti Chinese EV.

USA love the sound of gas. I doubt that will change significantly. Hmmm USA - miles, Fahrenheit, feet, yards, inches, gallons.
